Hi there,

As promised, I will share some of my patterns. Here are some, the easiest I reckon.  Feel free to ask any questions if something is not clear.

PS: I do not know why, when I publish my blog, that the spacing is different from my original post. I am still trying to work out why this happens. So, please excuse the layout.

Happy crocheting!

Potholders:

Materials:
Size 12 crochet hook
6mm metallic or plain macrame rope, I have used metallic.
Please remember to use mainly cotton for this project, as it is flame retardant, you don't want to use polyester/acrylic that might burn or melt. This project is meant to  be used for warm pots and dishes to protect table surfaces and not boiling hot pots and pans.

Abbreviations
Sc - single crochet
Dc - double crochet
Ch - chain
Sts - stitches
Ss - Slip stitch

Make magic ring.
Rnd 1: Work 1 ch, 1 sc in base of chain, work 8 sc more in magic ring, close ring with ss in first sc .(10 sts)
Rnd 2: Work 2 ch, make 1 dc in base, then continue with 2 dc in each sc from previous round. Close with ss in top of 2 ch. (20st)
This potholder will come out around 17cm in diameter, depending on how stiff the rope is. I used metallic, which was quite stiff, so the hole in the middle could not close-up. If you use a softer rope, the hole will close, as my charcoal potholders above . (I have used the same pattern)

If you want a bigger potholder you can add another round, as follows:
Rnd 3: Ch 2; dc in base of ch, then work *1dc in next two dc’s, then 2dc in next dc*. Rpt from*-* all around, dc in last dc, close with ss. Cut and bind off.

That’s it. So very easy.
